Charges dropped against Mark Dial, the Philly cop who shot Eddie Irizarry, but D.A.'s Office plans to appeal
The charges against Mark Dial, the Philadelphia police officer that fatally shot Eddie Irizarry during a traffic stop in Kensington, were dismissed Tuesday by a municipal court judge who ruled that the shooting was justified. District Attorney Larry Krasner says his office will appeal with the intent to refile murder and other charges.
