Construction to add protected bike lane on Walnut Street will start this week

Construction crews will begin work on Walnut Street between 33rd and 63rd streets on Monday, as the city continues a two-year project to improve road safety in West Philadelphia. A protected bike lane and expanded pedestrian areas will be added.
