Does South Jersey have a future in the syrup industry? Stockton University is tapping maple trees to find out



Stockton University is exploring the viability of a syrup industry in South Jersey thanks to $1 million in funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The program has tapped 800-1,200 trees at the university’s Galloway Township campus and other locations in the region. The hope is to create a cottage industry in South Jersey.
