FEMA to send emergency alert test message to all US cell phones, radios and TVs on Wednesday
FEMA and the FCC will test the Wireless Emergency Alert on cell phones and the Emergency Alert System on radios and televisions at approximately 2:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 4. The tests will be accompanied by an alarm sound, though there is no reason for residents to be concerned. If the test is postponed due to inclement weather, the test will be moved to Oct. 11 at the same time.
