Former Temple business school dean found guilty of falsely reporting data to U.S. News & World Report

Moshe Porat, the former dean of Temple University’s Fox School of Business, was found guilty Monday of conspiring to report inaccurate statistics to U.S. News & World Report in order to improve the school’s online and part-time MBA program rankings. Inflating the business school’s online and part-time MBA program national rankings was part of a multi-year effort by Porat to mislead potential applicants, students and donors into making financial commitments to the university, prosecutors said.
