Gregory's Bar in Somers Point relinquishes 'Taco Tuesday' trademark, ending underdog fight with Taco Bell

Gregory’s Restaurant & Bar in Somers Point has given up its longstanding trademark on the phrase ‘Taco Tuesday’ in New Jersey. Owner Greg Gregory made the decision about six months after Taco Bell filed a legal petition to cancel the trademark. Fast food chain Taco John’s, which held the trademark in the other 49 states, gave up its rights in July. Now the phrase is free for all restaurants to use without legal repercussions.
