Joanna McClinton became the first woman to be elected as speaker of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives on Tuesday after Mark Rozzi resigned his post. McClinton, a Democrat from Philadelphia, represents the state’s 191st District. She previously served as House majority leader and minority leader.
