Lockheed Martin’s Sikorsky helicopter plant in Coatesville, Chester County will close in March 2022 due to a decline in the commercial rotorcraft space and an inability to secure enough work to keep operations going, the company said Thursday. Roughly 240 workers are expected to lose their jobs as a result of the facility shutting down.
