Lower Merion Implements Its First Automated Red Light Cameras
Lower Merion Township has introduced its first red light cameras at the intersection of Lancaster Avenue and Remington Road to improve traffic safety. Initially, there’s a warning period which will last until June 5, during which drivers will not receive fines for violations. Following this period, drivers who run red lights will be issued citations in the mail, each incurring a $100 penalty. The initiative aims to discourage dangerous driving behaviors and enhance overall safety at this intersection.
