New Jersey adds second class of state troopers to offset pandemic-related staffing shortages

New Jersey will graduate an additional class of state troopers this year using $4 million of American Rescue Plan funding allotted to the state. Rather than balancing the number of troopers, the new troopers will be part of a ‘growth class,’ state officials said on Monday.
