New Jersey bill would provide free school meals to students from working class families

A New Jersey bill inching the state toward universal free school meals passed out of the state Assembly on Thursday. The “Working Families’ Anti-Hunger Act” would expand access to free school meals to students of working families and is just one proposal within a broader legislative package to combat food insecurity.
