New Jersey's eviction moratorium expires Saturday amid latest COVID-19 surge

New Jersey’s eviction moratorium is set to officially expire on Jan. 1, after being extended for some low-to-moderate income residents in August. The August legislation also included additional protections for low income tenants, but for those who did not fill out the income certification form, landlords can pursue eviction for nonpayment beginning on Saturday.
