New superintendent of Philly schools to conduct listening tour during his first 100 days



Tony Watlington, the new superintendent for the School District of Philadelphia, outlined his plans for his first 100 days on Thursday. He will embark on a “listening and learning” tour to engage the well-being of students and staff, and to engage community stakeholders. Watlington succeeds William Hite, who will become the CEO of KnowledgeWorks after 10 years at the helm.
