Over 1.5 million dehumidifiers under recall due to fires, overheating

China-based manufacturer Gree Electric Appliances has recalled 42 models of dehumidifiers sold by five brands, Kenmore, GE, SoleusAir, Norpole, and Seabreeze, over fire hazards. The products made between January 2011 and February 2014 caused at least 23 fires, 668 overheating incidents, and $168,000 in property damage.
