Pennsylvania college system seeks more state funding in effort to train students for high-demand fields



The Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education is requesting an increase in state funding to support the 10 colleges it oversees throughout the state. Its governing board is asking for a $21 million increase to continue its four-year tuition freeze, as well as $112 million as part of a plan to improve graduation rates for students in high-demand fields like education and health care.
