Pennsylvania permits restaurants to expand cocktail service to more outdoor space

Restaurants, bars, hotels and other establishments in Pennsylvania are now permitted to expand the outdoor area in which they are allowed to serve alcoholic beverages to include a seating space within 1,000 feet of a business’s location. The new measure signed into law by Gov. Tom Wolf also permits the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board to provide unlimited off-site catering permits to eligible liquor licensees across the state.
