Pennsylvania's school funding could be revamped by civil trial that begins next week

A civil trial will begin Nov. 12 to determine whether Pennsylvania has failed to ensure all students receive an adequate and equitable education, as guaranteed by the state constitution. A lawsuit filed by the William Penn School District and five others claims inadequate funding has placed an unfair burden on students from low-income districts and created a disparity in access to quality education.
