Philadelphia water shutoff moratorium ends next week; some customers eligible for exemptions

Philadelphia Water Department will resume shutting off delinquent accounts on May 31. Accounts with $1,000 or more in past due payments are at risk of shutoff. Households with at least one child younger than 18, senior citizens older than 65, or people with disabilities can avoid shutoff.
