Philly area sees venture capital investment grow more in Q1 than any other U.S. metro

Venture capital investment in Greater Philadelphia grew 71% over the first three months of 2022, a new report from analytics firm CB Insights says. Over that period, $1.5 billion was invested in startups based in the city, mostly tech companies. It’s one of only three metro areas in the U.S. that saw growth compared with the last quarter of 2021. It saw more than twice as much growth as runner-up Atlanta and nearly four times as much growth as third place Dallas.
