Philly art museum workers vote to authorize strike amid ongoing contract negotiations

Union workers at the Philadelphia Museum of Art voted overwhelmingly to authorize a strike on Tuesday night. AFSCME Local 397 is calling on the museum’s leadership to meet its demands for better pay and benefits or face a possible work stoppage. The workers, who unionized in August 2020, have been negotiating their first contract for 22 months.
