Roling's Bakery in Elkins Park, beloved for challah bread, burglarized after being featured in CNN story

Roling’s Bakery, a landmark for Jewish families to buy traditional challah bread during the High Holy Days, was burglarized during Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. The incident occurred after a photo of the bakery’s challah bread was featured in a CNN article about the Jewish holidays. Owner Israel Roling thinks the timing is a coincidence and doesn’t believe anti-Semitism was a factor. The 51-year-old business lost about $1,500 and a cash register, along with a few other items.
