Six Flags merges with Dorney Park's parent company in $8B deal

Amusement park companies Six Flags Entertainment Corporation and Cedar Fair have agreed to merge into a combined company with an estimated value of $8 billion. The new company, which will be called Six Flags, will operate 27 amusement parks, 15 water parks and nine resort properties across North America. Among those properties are Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey and Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
