South Jersey man, who assaulted cops, slashed police vehicle tires during Jan. 6 Capitol riot, pleads guilty



Phillip S. Young, 60, of Sewell, Gloucester County, pleaded guilty to his role in the U.S. Capitol riot on Wednesday, Nov. 2, federal prosecutors said. Young, dubbed “FashNSlash” by the online sleuths who helped nab him, was accused of assaulting Capitol Police officers and slashing the tires of a police vehicle on Jan. 6, 2021. Young, a retired union boilermaker, will be sentenced Jan. 31, 2023.
