St. Joe's student shot after fighting off carjackers in Overbrook

A St. Joseph’s University student was taken to Lankenau Medical Center for treatment after he was shot during an attempted carjacking near his Overbrook apartment Tuesday, June 21, Philadelphia police said. The 21-year-old was parking his blue Subaru outback when he was approached by two men in ski masks. After a struggle, the shot him in the knee and hit him on the head with a gun.
