To catch hit-and-run drivers, Pennsylvania may alert auto repair shops of wanted vehicles

Jayanna Powell was killed by a hit-and-run driver in Philadelphia while walking home from school in November 2016. A proposed alert system would provide Pennsylvania auto repair shops with descriptions of vehicles wanted in hit-and-run crashes. Legislation passed out of a state Senate committee.
