Michael van der Veen, the Center City attorney who represented former President Donald Trump during his Senate impeachment trial, said that his pronunciation of Philadelphia as “Phillydelphia” is something that he says often to make a point. Van der Veen made the pronunciation during a debate over whether the impeachment trial would call on witnesses to testify.
