Uhuru Furniture is closing its North Philly store after 29 years, citing increased costs and gentrification

Uhuru Furniture and Collectibles will close on Oct. 31. The secondhand furniture store run by the African People’s Education & Defense Fund has been in business for nearly 30 years. The store is on North Broad Street.
