Wawa plans to double its store count by 2030 with focus on drive-thrus

Wawa plans to nearly double its store count to 1,800 locations by 2030, CEO Chris Gheysens said. The convenience store chain will add 300 stores to its existing markets and continue its expansion between Virginia and Florida, particularly along the I-95 corridor. Some of the new locations will include a drive-thru format that Wawa began testing during the COVID-19 pandemic.
