Wildfire burns at Wharton State Forest in South Jersey, leading to evacuations



A wildfire at Wharton State Forest in South Jersey has burned at least 2,100 acres of pinelands in New Jersey’s largest state park. As of Sunday night, the fire was only 20 percent contained and was affecting portions of Washington Township, Shamong, Hammonton and Mullica, the NJ Forest Fire Service said.
