Wolf pushes $2,000 checks for some Pennsylvanians amid rising inflation

Gov. Tom Wolf is pushing for $2,000 checks to be sent to Pennsylvania households making less than $80,000 per year with some of the state’s remaining American Rescue Plan funds. The goal is to help families struggling with the fallout pf the pandemic and the inflation crisis. Prices in metro Philadelphia are up at least 8.4% from last year, which has left many households struggling to make ends meet. But state Republicans are not fans of Wolf’s plan.
