Fans mourn death of The Roots founding member Leonard Hubbard



Leonard Hubbard, a founding member of The Roots and the hip-hop band’s bassist for 15 years, died Thursday at age 62 after a decade-plus battle with cancer. Nicknamed “Hub,” the West Philadelphia native recorded seven studio albums and performed on tour with the band from 1992-2007.
