Airbnb hosts must apply for licenses and permits as new regulations go into effect

Airbnb hosts are being met with a stricter set of regulations for their short-term rental properties, including applying for housing licenses and complying with safety code requirements set by the city. Those who are renting out a portion of their home must apply for a limited lodging license and ensure the property is in compliance with the city’s safety codes. Those who don’t live in the property they are hosting on Airbnb must apply for a hotel license.
