Bike helmets would become mandatory in New Jersey under proposed law

Assemblyman Reginald Atkins has proposed a law that would require all adults to use helmets when riding bikes, push scooters and motorized scooters. Although local bike organizations encourage the use of helmets, many are opposed to legislation requiring them.
