Driving lane may be cut on Chestnut Street in West Philly to improve safety

Philadelphia is seeking public feedback on proposals for improving traffic safety on a six-mile stretch of Walnut and Chestnut streets in West Philly. On Chestnut, the city has proposed reducing a driving lane, adding a parking-protected bike lane and reducing pedestrian exposure. Construction is set to begin in 2022.
