Fearsome-looking dead shark washes ashore on Longport beach



The remains of a sand tiger shark washed ashore n Longport, New Jersey, at the 12th Avenue beach on Thursday morning. An expert who reviewed photos of the animal believe it may have been caught and released by a fisherman prior its death. Sand tigers are common in the water off of New Jersey and are generally docile sharks that feed on smaller fish and don’t pose a threat to humans.
