Wilmington, Delaware saw 22% fewer homicides in 2023 as the city’s murder rate dropped to a 20-year low, according to the Wilmington Police Department’s 2023 Year-End Report. But property crimes – particularly car thefts – increased. These statistics mirrored national trends.
