Mistrial declared in Councilmember Kenyatta Johnson's corruption charges trial

Philadelphia City Councilmember Kenyatta Johnson and his wife, Dawn Chavous, were found guilty (acquitted) of fraud charges. Prosecutors had accused Johnson of accepting nearly $67,000 in bribes, paid to his wife, in exchange for political favors for Universal Companies, a nonprofit developer and charter school operator founded by musician Kenny Gamble.
