Unionized workers at the Philadelphia Museum of Art began a one-day strike Friday morning, demanding better wages and benefits be included in their first collective bargaining agreement. AFSCME Local 397 claims museum management has engaged in union-busting tactics and failed to bring an offer that addresses its members’ economic priorities, including salary increases and paid parental leave.
