Philadelphia Water Department resumes service shutoffs – here's how to apply for payment assistance

The Philadelphia Water Department has resumed shutting off service to households with delinquent bills totaling at least $1,000 for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020. Customers can make a payment plan or seek payment assistance through the Tiered Assistance Program or Senior Citizen Discount program.
