Philly-area men altered checks stolen from USPS mailboxes in $200K scheme, U.S. attorney says



An alleged scheme to wash and alter checks stolen from United States Postal Service collection boxes in the Philadelphia region last year has left Naod Tsegay,of Collingdale, Delaware County, and Fode Bangoura and Zyier Williams, both of Philly, facing criminal charges. The three men altered dozens of personal and business checks in an attempt to steal more than $200,000, U.S. Attorney Jacqueline Romero said.
