Philly beer distributor strike ends in time for July Fourth weekend

A labor dispute between the Philly area’s three biggest beer distributors and its workers was resolved on Saturday, ending a nearly week-long strike. Both parties agreed to a new four-year contract. This was the first time Teamster Local 830 has ever gone on strike. If the strike had continued, brands like Budweiser, Heineken and Miller Lite could have been in short supply across the city, its suburbs and nearby counties.
