Philly prepares to open first tiny house village to transition homeless residents into permanent housing

Sanctuary Village is Philadelphia’s first tiny house village, meant to help transition homeless people into permanent housing. Structured around a similar program in Seattle, Sanctuary Village will open a collection of houses on a city-owned lot in the Holmesburg section of Northeast Philly. Residents will be referred by the Office of Homelessness Services, and will leave the community once they have permanent housing.
