Philly will increase enforcement of bike lanes in effort to improve traffic safety

The Philadelphia Parking Authority will soon expand its bike lane enforcement with a team of eight officers who will patrol Center City, University City and South Philly on bicycles, ticketing drivers who violate parking restrictions in lanes designated for cyclists. The initiative aims to reduce traffic deaths and improve safety for cyclists.
