Dr. Rachel Levine was sworn in Tuesday as the nation’s first openly transgender four-star admiral. The former Pennsylvania health secretary, who now serves as President Joe Biden’s assistant health secretary, joins the ranks of the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps.
