SEPTA averts strike, agrees to new contract with transit union

SEPTA and Transport Workers Union Local 234 have agreed to a two-year contract that will provide workers with salary increases, a one-time COVID-19 pandemic payment and paid parental leave. The deal averts a potential strike that would have shut down subway, bus and trolley service across Philadelphia.
