Wawa reportedly will close one of its South Street locations next month

Wawa has decided to close its location at Ninth and South streets permanently on Sunday, Oct. 17, after a little more than two years in business, according to a report from Philadelphia Business Journal. The Delco-based convenience store chain cited the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and “changing consumer trends.” The forthcoming closure leaves 10 Wawa locations scattered across Center City.
