Son of Philly police officer fatally shot during apparent robbery, D.A. says



Philadelphia police are investigating the fatal shooting of 23-year-old Hyram Hill, the son of a Philadelphia police officer who was killed early Monday morning near the corner of Broad Street and Allegheny Avenue. District Attorney Larry Krasner said the victim was shot nine times in the incident. No arrests have been made and no weapons were recovered at the scene.

D.A. investigating Cheltenham crash that killed 20-year-old Abington man



The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office has opened an investigation into a fatal car crash in Cheltenham Township on Sunday, Jan. 23, 2022. The crash along Greenwood Avenue killed Nicholas Bednarek, 20, of Abington and injured four others, including the driver. Police said they found open containers of alcohol in the car.
