Super Walgreens flagship store to close in Center City in February



Walgreens will close its flagship store in Philadelphia at the end of February. The drugstore at the corner of Broad and Chestnut streets opened in 2013, replacing a former Borders bookstore. The three-level spaces included a cafe and a wider selection of food and retail products than other Walgreens locations.

SEPTA's 5th Street Station earns award for its new look



SEPTA’s 5th Street/Independence Hall Station was named the Best Masonry Construction Project of 2021 by the General Building Contractors Association of Philadelphia. The $20 million redesign was completed by Converse Winkler Architecture and Burns Engineering.

A woman was found beaten to death in her Mount Laurel home on Wednesday afternoon, police say. Melissa Malcolm, 38, was found dead due to apparent blunt force trauma to her head. Andrew Kramer, 31, was taken into custody in Kensington on Wednesday following a standoff with police
