Giant unveils plan for new supermarket in Northeast Philly

As COVID-19 cases fall, Philly allowing restaurants to increase indoor dining capacities



Philadelphia restaurants can expand their indoor dining capacities from 25% to 50% if they can comply with a new set of standards for indoor ventilation. The initiative, beginning Feb. 12, 2021, comes as COVID-19 cases continue to fall in the city. Health officials also provided new details on efforts to vaccinate teachers, school staffers and child care workers as the broader vaccine rollout continues.

Playland's Castaway Cove fire deemed accidental, amusement park rides undamaged



A four-alarm fire that engulfed several Ocean City boardwalk locations, including Playland’s Castaway Cove, on Jan. 30, 2021 was ruled accidental. The cause of the fire was an undetermined electrical source. The other Jersey Shore businesses affected include the Hamburger Construction Company restaurant, a juice bar and a Dairy Queen.
